I ordered cheeseburger and fries, however I found out they had home made potato salad that day, it was all good but the potato salad was wonderful. Now if I can talk them into making me some deviled eggs...

Went to DD the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2018 and the cook bare handed scratched his neck and hair area, and picked up some bacon with the same hand to put on the grill. Then scraped eggs into a to-go box with the same hand!!! So disgusting!!!! Will never dine here again.

Pancakes were dry, hashbrowns were soggy and not crispy, sausage gravy had no flavor.
Over all this was not a good experience food wise for what I was expecting. I WOULDNT GO, JUST AVOID. -

I was on Indy's South side doing a little Geocaching on a chilly but dry Sunday and decided to see if I could find a decent meal and possibly snag a new Yelp review along with my geocaches. I'd passed by Dianna's Diner a few times before, but it was usually as I was driving by and I ultimately always said to myself "I need to try that place" instead of actually trying that place.
If you look at Dianna's outdoor sign, it states they are open 24 hours. However, the menus currently say 6am - 10pm and, as Chad M. has noted, they tend to change their hours. They are located in a small free-standing building near Stop 11 and Emerson and the building has clearly been something else in a previous life. As I drove up, a guy outside the building was changing the window decor from a Halloween scene to a Christmas scene - like most retailers, they apparently skip Thanksgiving.
They have a couple accessible spots and an appropriate curb cut, not always true at these small mom n' pop diners. The glass door takes you into the actual diner which has a combo of mostly booths, a lunch counter, and 2-3 tables at the back of the restaurant that are really the most wheelchair friendly option.
There was a sign saying "seat yourself," though showing up alone in a wheelchair inevitably snags attention anywhere I go. I moved toward one of the back tables, though one was occupied by employees that seemed to be putting together silverware, etc. Still, they were helpful in moving a chair at an adjacent table.
As has been noted, Dianna's is a divey mom n' pop diner that is, yes, a tad overpriced. They serve a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Sandwiches, which come with chips, are mostly in the $6-8 range and evening "meal" options lean higher than that price point. They do have french fries, though they are a separate order at $2.25 rather than any sort of upcharge.
I ordered a 1/2 pound burger for $6.50 - they have a 1/4 option that's a buck less. You can get cheese, though I'm a rather plain dude and opted to keep it simple. I did not order fries, but decided to stick with chips. I ordered my usual unsweetened iced tea - it is worth noting that the menu clearly defines you get two refills if dining in. My guess is the refill rule has more to do with avoiding low-paying lingerers than an actual desire to minimize refills, though I've heard they actually do enforce the limit.
My server, whose name I never caught, was one of those types to greet you with a "hon." She was attentive for the most part, though in watching around I could definitely see where some people get lost in the shuffle here. I really didn't, though the wheelchair does actually help in most cases in situations like this one.
The burger? It was good. It was delivered as ordered. I would likely order it again, though it was certainly nothing fancy. The chips were rather ordinary, they seemed like Lay's, and the serving size was pretty small. I did get one iced tea refill - the glasses are a decent size and that was nice.
I liked Dianna's in the way you like these small mom n' pop joints. The people were friendly and the food was decent. It was a tad over-priced, but it also wasn't the usual mom n' pop grease bomb and my fairly sensitive system didn't have any issues with their food. While I certainly wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here, I also would return if in the neighborhood. It's your average meal in an average setting at slightly above average pricing. -

Small mom-n-pop diner near a busy intersection. I have eaten here a few times over the years, and they seem to change from being open 24 hrs to just half the day and back again. So if you're a late night eater, double check to make sure they're open before driving here, ha.
The food is similar to truck stop style food or to Waffle House for a comparison. It's not the best, but not bad either, and works great late nights. The bowl of chili I had was huge, but I prefer thick chili where your spoon will stand up, and their's was very soupy chili. So not my personal choice, but it tasted fine.
The staff is hit or miss, sometimes great service, sometimes slow service even though the server walks right by your table and seemingly can't miss your empty glasses, they don't seem to be in a hurry to refill them. The place is small inside, so hard to miss when customer's need something, haha.
The food was okay, but not great, prices were on par for a late night diner, but being in Indy with tons of other late night choices, there is a lot of competition. Hit or miss on the food too, sometimes it's great, other times you may wish you went elsewhere. If you haven't eaten here and like these greasy spoon places, then give them a try and maybe you will hit them on a good night, haha.
